How did Relocate to Happiness started?

When we first thought of the name “RELOCATE TO HAPPINESS” we had a clear vision. One on hand, RELOCATION means “moving to a new place” but it’s also synonymous to advance, change, shift, to transfer,  remove,  push even dislocate, impel, position or shove.

On the other hand, HAPPINESS is the “overall experience of pleasure and meaning” (“Happier” by Dr Tal Ben Shahar).

Becoming happy is a life long activity. Relocating, in general, is an amazing way to get out of your comfort zone.  It’s important to say that I don’t have a magic wand and I’m not going to change your life in a few seconds. What I’m going to do is to give you effective tools from the positive psychology. Ways & interventions to make you feel HAPPIER and then connect them to your own life on a daily basis.

And this precisely is the purpose of this project:  To help you better understand, pursue, and attain happiness.

Where did you learn from it?

I learned it from the Happiness Studies Academy (HSA), founded by Dr. Tal Ben-Shahar, a world-renowned authority in positive psychology. Through my studies there, I gained in-depth knowledge and practical tools to help individuals cultivate greater happiness and well-being. As a certified happiness coach, I apply evidence-based strategies rooted in psychology, philosophy, and neuroscience to guide others toward a more fulfilling life.

Do you follow any kind of philosophy?

Our philosophy is centered on the idea that happiness is not simply about pleasure or the absence of pain, but rather a holistic approach to well-being that integrates multiple dimensions of life. The framework combines insights from psychology, philosophy, neuroscience, economics, and theology to create a comprehensive understanding of what it means to live a fulfilling life.

Some key aspects of this philosophy include:

  • Wholebeing Approach – Happiness is not just about feeling good but about cultivating spiritual, physical, intellectual, relational, and emotional well-being (SPIRE model).
  • Permission to Be Human – Embracing the full range of emotions, including negative ones, is essential for true well-being. Suppressing emotions leads to more suffering.
  • The Pursuit of Meaning & Growth – Happiness comes from finding purpose, engaging in meaningful activities, and striving for personal growth, rather than just chasing pleasure.
  • Positive Habits & Mindset – Small, consistent actions (like gratitude, mindfulness, and exercise) have a significant impact on long-term happiness.
  • Balance Between Present & Future – True happiness requires balancing immediate enjoyment with long-term goals, rather than sacrificing one for the other.

What is your favourite life motto?

Courage is not about not having fear but about having fear and going ahead anyway.
